1st Samuel 28:17 And the Lord hath done to him, as he spoke by me: for the Lord hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbor, even to David: 18 Because thou obeyed not the voice of the Lord, nor executed his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day. 19 Moreover the Lord will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and tomorrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the Lord also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
[Letter 147 par.9] Satan and his angels will appear on this earth as men and will mingle with those of whom God’s Word says, “Some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” [1 Timothy 4:1.] The world is full of men and women whom Satan uses as his agencies. Christ has bought them with a price—even with the price of His blood. But they have given themselves unto Satan’s control.
Christ and two holy angels met Abraham one day, in the form of men, and Abraham was none the wiser until only after the fact. They washed their feet, and sat down to eat and drink, and it was only afterward when they called Sarah by name, that Abraham was alerted to what was really taking place. That’s because all angels, both holy and fallen, do have the ability to accurately mimic lower life forms other than themselves, with reproductions that are perfect.
Genesis 18:1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
Genesis 18:4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
