Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
[2] The point of no return will culminate in the close of probation for all of earth’s inhabitants. All of the righteous will be sealed forever and those who have rejected God’s grace would have passed the point of no return.
[3] Persons could pass the point of no return while still living. Death is not necessary for an individual’s probation to be closed.
Hosea 4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. Hosea 7:8 Ephraim, hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. 9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knows it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knows not.

They had made their choice, had taken the form without the spirit, the husk without the kernel. Their decision was never afterward reversed; for they walked no more with Jesus.
John 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
