Leviticus 26:20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. 21 And if you walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
The same thing had occurred in the days of Elijah when Israel was led into idolatry by worshiping the sun god. At that time, they were found following the dictates of Jezebel, a mere mortal, and thus, the sun god they worshipped was made to be their enemy. History is soon to be repeated. Indeed, the horses have already left the barn, and all our efforts to try and mitigate all of earth’s problems, including global warming, and destructive floods and earthquakes in different places, will not be successful until the issue of worship is addressed.
