Reversing Generational Curses. Part [16] 08/26/2022 (Evening thought)

Psalms 119: 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

A victory today does not necessarily mean a victory tomorrow, and what we may have overcome in the few months after baptism, does not atone for the conflicts that lie ahead. As thy days, so shall thy strength be, and therefore, we would need to be inoculated daily with the word, in order to vanquish some variant or strain of a generational curse.

[Patriarchs And Prophets pp 460] “Keep thy heart with all diligence,” is the counsel of the wise man; “for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23. As man “thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7.

The heart must be renewed by divine grace, or it will be in vain to seek for purity of life. He who attempts to build up a noble, virtuous character independent of the grace of Christ is building his house upon the shifting sand. In the fierce storms of temptation, it will surely be overthrown.

John 15:Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
