A Scripture For Everything. Part [18] 05/23/2022 (Morning thought)

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Again, God could have stopped Putin from doing the unthinkable, and He could force you and me to yield unquestioning obedience. But if He were to do so, our freedom of choice would evaporate, and our intelligence would be rendered worthless.

Thus, when we read the Bible we must keep in mind that there is a scripture for everything and there is a scripture for everyone. God reveals His ideal will for the human family, but He also causes to be written, the various alternatives persons chose, or insisted on.

Therefore, the reader is left free to pick and choose their own private interpretation, if folks so desire, although God issues a warning against doing so. A person’s private interpretation would never alter in in anyway God’s revealed, ideal will, and at the end of the day, those who desire to serve, love and obey God, will know of the doctrine.

John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
