2nd Chronicles 20:3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
There are times when everyone would need to pray for deliverance, even the little ones who may not be able to comprehend what is going on. In particular, the king of Israel made mention of the fact that this war was unprovoked, and thus, he appealed to God for His intervention, something we all should do in the current situation.
Even though the Hebrews were then God’s chosen people, we should all keep in mind that Jesus’ death on the cross entirely changed the paradigm for all of humanity, for we all are now His, both by creation and redemption.
Thus, the major retribution that was going to be meted out to those invaders, will be meted out at some point to nations and individuals who commit atrocities against humanity. The value of the human soul is now based upon the price that was paid for it, even the precious blood of The Son of God.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
