Latter Rain Obedience. Part [12] 03/05/2022 (Morning thought)

Psalms 15:Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walks uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.

[Maranatha pp 63] It is discipline of spirit, cleanness of heart and thought that is needed. This is of more value than brilliant talent, tact, or knowledge. An ordinary mind, trained to obey a “Thus saith the Lord,” is better qualified for God's work than are those who have capabilities, but do not employ them rightly.

As new challenges will arise worldwide, and as the drumbeat of war and new viruses and variants get louder, isn’t it high time that we regroup as pertains to our understanding of what obeying God’s voice really means? Those attitudes and dispositions that have been indulged for to long will have to change, where necessary, and instead, the following mantra will have to be adopted: God says it, I believe it, and that settles it for me, period.

We therefore end with a passage of scripture which reflects the urgency of the moment, and wherever any adjustments and changes in our perspectives on latter rain obedience is needed, let’s ask God to give us the heart and mind to submit fully to Him so that a ready, willing, and obedient disposition will be our own personal experience.

Romans 13: 11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
