Latter Rain Obedience. Part [10] 03/04/2022 (Morning thought)

Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

The soldiers of the cross in our day should be able to start at any scripture, and preach Jesus unto persons. This would call for our thorough understanding of the meaning and the import of the three angels’ messages including the very important aspect of obeying all of God’s commandments.

But too often, when brought into contact with our fellowmen, our conversations savor of the temporal and carnal, rather than the spiritual, and issues that pertain to the building up of God’s kingdom. Thus, it may be necessary in most cases, for our minds to be rewired or reprogrammed to focus on ministry, not as an afterthought but as the focal point of our very existence.

After completing the crux of the mission, Phillip is not left to socialize as we often do. During the time of latter rain obedience, some of the norms we’ve become accustomed to would become relics of the past, as The Holy Ghost would strip away all of the nonessentials to a bare-bones, all hands on deck, approach, to save the lost at all cost.

Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
