Latter Rain Obedience. Part [4] 03/01/2022 (Morning thought)

Genesis 12: Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee.

We have such an example of obedience in Abraham   the father of the faithful, who, when he was called by God to go out into a foreign land, obeyed and he went forth, without waiting for details or maps. At that time God did not even tell him which direction to go in; all God said was go, and I will direct you as you go.

In response, Abraham went to the nearest U-Haul, and rented a one-way truck to nowhere, packed up all his belongings, took his wife (Mercy!), and with others who were willing to make the journey, they set out in obedience to the voice of God.

In our opening passage, we observe that God refers to those who would be called to preach during the time of the latter rain, as being soldiers in His army. These are not your average soldiers, for they would have already learned by experience not to question, argue, or even agree with God, for it’s not necessary for us to agree with God before obeying Him.

Deuteronomy 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; 31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
