God Versus Beast Principles. Part [7] 01/16/2022 (Evening thought)

1st Samuel 8:4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord. And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

Man-made theocracies and democracies are two systems which are, for the most part, essentially at odds in their perspectives and in their operations. In man-made democracies persons enjoy the freedom of speech, and the freedom to worship according to the dictates of one’s conscience.

But in man-made theocracies, persons are forced to live and worship according to all the dictates of the state. Morality is mandated and the government’s concepts of right and wrong are urged upon the people on pain of various punishments, and in some cases, even death.

In some such countries, persons are forced to smile when their dear leader is present. Emotions as well as their organic feelings, and convictions of one’s conscience are put under bit and bridle, and those who dare to differ are often ostracized, punished, beaten, and sometimes go missing without a trace.

Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
