Apocalyptic Prophecies. Part [3] 08/23/2021 (Evening thought)

1st Samuel 6:7 Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them. 8 And take the ark of the Lord, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.

Back then the Philistines had set their own personal parameters to verify whether the devastation which had ravaged their country was a capricious blip, that just happened out of the blue by chance or whether it was the God of heaven trying to reach them. They then put the matter to the test to ascertain the real cause of their troubles, and they did receive a clear confirmation, according to their own standard that they had set.

However, unlike the situation with the Philistines of old, the adversities that are coming upon the world are not of God’s doing, for He has given us grace for grace through the merits of Christ, and as the direct result each member of the human family is become a recipient and beneficiary of God’s love some more some less.

At the same time we should also note that God’s grace would not always reverse the laws of cause and effect, which in many cases, are permitted to run their natural course, and as a result, many of the apocalyptic prophecies written in the Bible are just a concise delineation of what man has done or is doing to himself.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
