The Spirit Of Unbelief. Part [11] 07/06/2021 (Evening thought)

Psalms 78:1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old. 6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children.

[Patriarchs & Prophets pp 293] The varied experience of the Hebrews was a school of preparation for their promised home in Canaan. God would have His people in these days review with a humble heart and teachable spirit the trials through which ancient Israel passed, that they may be instructed in their preparation for the heavenly Canaan.

Thus, in order for us to dispel the spirit of unbelief permanently, we should understand that we must focus on the positives in life. And even though in the scriptures good and evil, victory and defeat are presented, yet, in every situation, God will have us to look on the brighter side.

Doing so would greatly improve both our outlook, and perspectives so that a solid resilience would be our experience. It is a law of the human mind, that by beholding we will become changed, therefore, if we’re mostly dwelling on the negative aspects of our life experience, we will soon become more negative and unbelieving.

Psalms 78:19 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? 22 Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
