Isaiah 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
The restorers of the breach will need to begin the work of restoration in their own homes. We will need to evaluate our concepts of proper Sabbath keeping, to ensure that they are in line with what is written. Self-serving in any form must be put away, and ministering to the needs of fallen humanity is to be front and center of all proper Sabbath keeping, wherever possible.
Let us then step up to the plate and do what has for too long been neglected. The volatile situations that are occurring across the globe, the devastation from the current virus, and the utter intransigence that has gripped politicians, tell us that we are living on borrowed time. In addition to this the final conflict between the law of God and the commandments of men looms large on the horizon, and it won’t be long before we will have to take a definite stand, either for truth or for error.
Thus, it is incumbent upon the remnant people of God to implement those much needed reforms, just as it was in the days of Nehemiah, for it’s not what we say, but what we do that will matter in the long run. We therefore end with a passage of scripture that will encourage us to make all necessary change where warranted, for God is now calling all persons to repentance.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
