Romans 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
In cases where a secular ruler may command those under his/her jurisdiction to violate God’s law of ten commandments, Christians are commanded in the Bible not to yield obedience, but in doing so, they are never to rise up in rebellion against the rulers of God’s choosing. In His own time and way, God will deal with the matter in question, for He still rules in the kingdom of men.
Therefore, as the countdown to eternity begins to accelerate and as the prophecies of Daniel and John begin to unfurl before our eyes, we would see some strange things occurring across the land, and some of us may be tempted to jump into the fray. But let us never lose sight of Christ, for He will be directing all of earth’s events as His coming draws nearer and nearer.
Therefore, it’s important for us to keep our heads lifted heavenward, for we are indeed living on the brink of eternity, and the kingdom of God will be ushered in, sooner than we may anticipate. All of the signs given in scripture are converging now, and it’s only a matter of time before the final chapter comes to a close.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
