America In Prophecy. Part [8] 04/16/2021 (Morning thought)

Jonah 2:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Tough times scarcely occur in a vacuum, and thus, it will be well for us to reason soberly from cause to effect, because the benefits of physical and spiritual laws are contingent upon those actions and choices we make. The following therefore are the areas that will need to be addressed, if we desire a return to God’s favor for the spiritual laws of sowing and reaping can only be reversed to some extent, if persons and nations track a righteous course.

We will need to make changes in diets and foods, because we consist of what we eat, and therefore, the area of our lives that has to do with diet must be addressed seriously. The laws pertaining to what can, and should not be eaten are given in Leviticus 11, so that all who so desire may come into line with what is written. But we should also remember that God’s ideal for us surpasses Leviticus eleven. That ideal can be found in Genesis chapter 1.

We will also need to address the issue of violence, because too many people are killing one another for no reason. As it stands currently, there have been at least forty five mass shootings within the last thirty days, a statistic that is not even seen in countries that are designated as terrorist strongholds. Unwonted violence among men was one of the reasons why God had to bring a flood of water upon the earth, and if we desire to avoid a deluge by fire, we would urgently need to track a different course.

Genesis 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
