Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
All throughout the ages, different kingdoms have come upon the stage of action, either by permission or ordination of God, but howsoever they came into power, The God of heaven was always in control of all such authorities. Most of these kingdoms fought their way into prominence, and much turbulence and bloodshed occurred as a result, but God was, and still is in control.
The scripture tells us that the powers that be are ordained of God, and though at times it may seem as if nations are like a runaway train, yet the good purposes of God are still being worked out behind the scenes, and whenever the tenure of a kingdom is up, God installs another in its place, so that there is no earthly kingdom that will stand forever.
The same is true of America, for this nation came into being through the direct providence of God, and even though some may not give credit where credit is due, America’s prowess in the world, and all of its military might, together with advances in those scientific discoveries and inventions that are upright, are the result of God’s blessings and providence.
Psalms 75:4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn. 5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. 6 For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another.
