The Resurrection. Part [12] 03/23/2021 (Morning thought)

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

As we look out across the landscape of our world today, there is a dark cloud of death hanging in the atmosphere. In addition, there are new diseases, viruses, cancers, and sicknesses of all sorts, and to add to the mix, there is turmoil and unrest among nations and governments. Yet, through it all, God has given us the assurance of immortality in Christ.

And whatsoever our situation may be, this one thing we know, that if we stay the course with Christ, and if we are found faithful to the end, the unique blend of Divinity and humanity that is found in Christ, which guided our steps during this life, will one day fulfill the promise of the gospel, so that the blend would nevermore be dismantled.

There is a bright ray of hope for us to dwell on, for even though there are still many to be laid to rest in this life, and although thousands more will succumb to Covid, and the other pandemics that will be coming our way, yet, one day soon, Jesus will make all things new, and as such, we encourage everyone to not give up, in despair, nor mourn as do others, but to have hope in Jesus, because His resurrection from the grave is the assurance that we too will be raised to immortality, if we are found faithful.

1st Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
