Why Some People Hate God. Part [6] 12/24/2021 (Evening thought)

Proverbs 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction. 12 For whom the Lord loveth he corrects; even as a father the son in whom he delights. 13 Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

Some people hate God because of His discretionary corrections. Whenever God sees fit to administer corrections that are in most cases overdue, the human agent often finds fault with God, and resentment builds as in their view, His corrections were too harsh. Thus, a finite measuring stick is used to determine if God has gone too far in correcting this or that person.

Concerning God’s discretionary corrections, we are not to pass any judgment on God for doing what, in His wisdom He sees fit. The sole, determining factor which is to be taken into consideration, when trying to determine whether God’s actions were just is the mere fact that God did it.

This is what makes it appropriate and right, not our protracted views on what correction and justice is to be. In other words, even if we may not agree, or understand His actions in administering corrective measures in some situation, the very fact that God did it, makes it right.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
