Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.
God is issuing the sternest warning against a move to mandate religion. We are already seeing how the issue of mandates is roiling many people, and if there is such great pushback against what is touted as being good for the nation, imagine what kind of national upheaval will occur when mandated religion takes center stage.
We are not left to wonder or guess what will be the result of such a move, for whereas Covid brought us to the edge of the cliff, this one will absolutely take us over the cliff, into an abyss from which there will be no return, this, according to the scriptures. [The Great Controversy pp 614] When he (Jesus) leaves the sanctuary, darkness covers the inhabitants of the earth. The restraint which has been upon the wicked is removed, and Satan has entire control of the finally impenitent.
The Spirit of God persistently resisted has been at last withdrawn. Unsheltered by divine grace, they have no protection from the wicked one. Satan will then plunge the inhabitants of the earth into one great, final trouble. As the angels of God cease to hold in check the fierce winds of human passion, all the elements of strife will be let loose. The whole world will be involved in ruin more terrible than that which came upon Jerusalem of old.
Revelation 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
