God's Final Appeal To Our Generation. 09/16/2015 (Morning thought)

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

This passage of scripture represents God's final appeal to the last generation living on the earth, just prior to the second coming of Christ. According to the above verses, many of God's people are still living in Babylon, and therefore a final call for them to come out is made by the angel, so that they will not be associated with Babylon's teachings, institutions, and practices. Now, it is important for us to understand that there is a literal, and a spiritual coming out, by which all ties to Babylon must permanently be severed, in those who wish to be identified with God's people.

In the spiritual sense, the "Coming out" has to do with a renouncing of Babylon's teachings and doctrines, that have been given in opposition to the plain instructions written in the Bible. For instance, the doctrine of Sunday sacredness, in which it is taught that the sacredness of the seventh day Sabbath was transferred form Saturday to Sunday, is without scriptural foundation and must be renounced by those who desire to be aligned with the people of God. But, for the worlds most prominent religious leader to represent the first day of the week as the official day of rest for all Christians, is a sacrilegious ploy that must be exposed for what it is, for there is absolutely no scripture to support or justify such a move, and thus the people of God who now sit in Babylon must "Come out" of her teachings. Let's read:

Isaiah 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Here, in unmistakable terms, The Lord identifies who His people really are, and the Sabbath is given as the sign of belonging to God. However, as was stated in our first passage for today, there are millions of sincere Christians and Catholics, and other people, who have ignorantly subscribed to the deceptive theology of Babylon, hence the invitation is made by God Himself, for all those who will join the ranks of His people, to keep the seventh day Sabbath holy, as it is given in the fourth commandment. Let's read:

Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

But there is also a literal coming out of Babylon too, for the time has now come when a separation from her association is overdue. It is not an easy matter for those who have been raised in Sunday churches to renounce their former beliefs and creeds, but according to the call of Revelation 18:4, the time is now, when serious decisions will have to be made, for the verses in that very same chapter go on to say in graphic terms, what will be the results of a continuing association with a man-made system of worship, which is diabolically opposed to God's will. The warnings thus given were not meant to scare anyone into submission, but God is just stating the truth as it is, by giving us in great detail, what the results of a certain course of action will be. Let's read:

Revelation 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

It is therefore of critical importance, for those who are still in Babylon, to now renounce the errors and practices of former years, in favor of the truths of the Bible, on these and other issues, for the word of God in regard to Babylon will certainly be fulfilled in due season. We therefore end with a passage of scripture which confirms this sacred truth, and it is the will of God that His sincere people who are still in Babylon, now stand up and be counted with those who keep the commandments of God, and have the faith of Jesus. Let's read:

Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9"If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study and practice of His every word. God bless!
