Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
This passage of scripture cautions us against the practice of setting aside the truths of God's word, in favor of science that is based on our very limited knowledge of animate and inanimate things. The verses declare that all the fulness of the God-head dwells in Christ bodily, meaning that all the power and glory and attributes of God are to be found in Christ, which means that all science that is discovered and researched by mortal man must of necessity submit to the vastly superior knowledge and power that is the sole possession of The Eternal God. Any science therefore, which in its conclusions goes against what is written in the Bible, is seriously flawed, and should be dispensed with, in favor of what the scriptures teach.
One of the scientific issues which immediately comes to mind is that of carbon dating, the process by which the age of certain materials is determined. Using this method, scientists have now concluded that the earth is much older than it really is, and some man-made estimates put it at millions and millions of years into the past. These conclusions strike at the very foundation of scripture, which teach us in unmistakeable terms that the earth is just about six thousand years old. Whatever might be our so-called research and conclusive evidence, it must never be made to conflict or override what the Bible clearly teaches, for if ever it does, then it becomes false science, and will not stand the test of time.
True science however, takes the conclusions and revelations of the scriptures as the basis for all research, and begins its analysis and exploration from the great facts of creation given in Genesis and other books of the Bible. For instance, the teaching of evolution, by which it is assumed that man evolved from lower forms of life over a period of millions of years, is not only flawed science in essence, but is a downright deception being perpetrated by the father of lies through human agencies. The Bible tells us that man was made in the image of God, and was formed from the dust of the earth, before God breathed into his nostrils and he became a living soul. All scientific research must therefore begin with these stated facts, and reason backwards to to the source of all life, which is God and God alone. Let's read:
Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
In our day and age there are philosophies and deductions of flawed science which are being taught in our schools, and instead of bringing us closer to God, they drive the human family further and further away from Him, who is the source of all life and blessings. Thus millions of infidels and skeptics are being daily herded into the ranks of satan, and are being cultivated, produced, and groomed for rebellion against The one and only God who can save us from ourselves.
Same-sex marriage and transgenders are productions of evolutionary teachings, for if we "Evolved" from lower forms of life into what we are now, who can tell what we will be, or will look like in the future as our evolving continues to take shape? One famous celebrity just recently "Evolved" into a half man/ half woman, and these distortions of God's original creation will continue until, like the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, The eternal God will need to bring the practice of flawed science to an abrupt halt.
Let us therefore as Christians be certain to believe and follow the sacred teachings of the word of God, for if we base our science on the scriptures, God will be pleased to continually guide us into all truth. We therefore end with a passage of scripture which cautions us to avoid all false science, but instead encourages us to believe the accurate testimony of scripture, for if we believe in The Living God we can never go wrong. 1st Timothy 6:20 "Keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.
