Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
This passage of scripture warns us of a time when evil spirits will take control of the minds of earth's rulers, together with the teeming multitudes under their jurisdiction, and the way in which this will be accomplished is by word of mouth, and by miraculous signs and wonders, this according to the passage for today. Frogs catch their prey with their tongues, and thus the figure that is used makes a direct reference to the false doctrines spoken, and the smooth sermons that have proliferated in our day, which tend to galvanize leaders and subscribers under one big tent of rebellion against The God of heaven.
One of the false doctrines that have proceeded from the mouth of devils and false prophets alike, is the natural immortality of the soul, in which it is proposed that man has inherent life within himself, and therefore cannot die. This lie is the first that was told to Eve, as she listened wonderingly to hear a serpent speak, and from that time to the present, it has been endorsed and incorporated into the teachings of religious and secular folk alike. Especially is this doctrine fatal to all who subscribe to it, for it insidiously removes the need for us to be saved, since according to its proponents we can never die.
Christ came to give us life, and to give it more abundantly, but if we already possess eternal life, then our need of Christ is vain. Thus by a single stroke of erroneous teaching, the unclean spirits have sought to remove the pillars of the cross, and the work of salvation which God so desires to do in every member of the human family. Hence the reason why the prophet John saw these unclean spirits go forth to the world's leaders and its wondering multitudes, for it is an undisputed fact that the natural immortality of the soul is now embraced by most of the world's great religions and secular leaders.
The Bible is very specific when it comes to the fact that eternal life is only to be found in God alone, and as such it must be bequeath to any created being who so desires to obtain it. God is the source of all life, but immortality is His singular, inherent possession which He offers to the obedient who are found in Christ. Let's read:
1st Timothy 6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto"....
1st John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
As Christians living in the 21st century, where any and every type of falsehood is being peddled in places high and low, we need to stay the course with Christ, by living by His word alone, and avoiding the snare of subscribing to the false doctrines which proceed from the mouth of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet, for Christ made it a point to warn us off of satan's enchanted ground, by loving and obeying the truth. Thus all who desire to know and live the truth will be shielded by the written and Living word of God, as long as we follow the example and instruction of Christ , which teaches us to live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
We therefore end with a promise to the faithful who follow the precepts and example of Christ, by living by the Bible, with no amendments, distortions, or false interpretations made by any human or satanic agencies. Let's read:
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan"..... "to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
