Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
The principle of gradualism as employed by the devil is the method by which he introduces first a very little error mingled with some truth, and supposedly good intentions, in order to get Christians to bite his bait. Then after they have succumbed to the first draft of intoxicating doctrines, he brings in more potent ones, and he continues to introduce ever increasingly dangerous errors and practices, and as Christians continue to bite and receive them readily, he gradually increases both his presence and activity in the churches of the land, until he brings us to where we now are, where we could listen reverently to a gay bishop or priest, breaking the bread of life to the multitudes, and putting their own spin, and their own severely warped interpretations on the sacred scriptures, which were given to guide our feet into the ways of peace.
So how is it that we have fallen so far in the Christian community, where it is now acceptable in so many prominent churches to countenance these abominable practices, thereby giving the young and the gullible an example of highhanded sin? It certainly did not occur overnight, but was rather accomplished by the specious workings of the enemy of souls, who has carried on a protracted and well-directed military campaign against the Christian church, being boosted by the clamor of the multitudes who were never fully converted, but who just accepted Jesus as the Savior of the world. These pseudo Christians were mentored and brought into the Christian ranks by the devil through his many human agencies, and they came in with all of the pagan practices, customs and ideologies, but never ever fully subscribed to the teachings of the word of God.
This is why the aged apostle Paul warned the Christian church in the above passages to beware of the many wolves in sheep's clothing, who would introduce damnable heresies under the cloak of love, and because Christ's kingdom is founded on love, many sincere Christians would thereby be in danger of falling for the multitudinous errors that would be brought in through the principle of gradualism. Many years ago we lived in the tropics where the warm climate and sun was an almost daily occurrence. But when we moved to North America we were greeted with an entirely different climate, where we experienced the brutal cold of the winter months, complete with snow and frost bites. At first it began as a terrible ordeal, but gradually over time our bodies adjusted to the climate to the point where we now became accustomed to it.
The same process is true of the practices that are being cultivated today in the Christian church. There was a time not too long ago when it was considered anathema for one to claim to be bisexual, let alone openly gay. But with multitudes of Christians coming out of the closets in recent years, and with prominent politicians, spiritual leaders, and clergymen jumping on the band wagon for political expediency and other personal reasons, the practice is now considered normal by many in the Christian church, and because leaders in the largest churches of the land refuse to stand up against the evil, it has now cascaded into a full blown epidemic, that will result in moral barrenness and confusion in the minds of those who are up and coming. These things were actually predicted by the apostle Paul, and what we are seeing today is just a fulfillment of the statements then made. Let's read:
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
The occurrence of these abominable practices in the Christian church tell us with certainty that we are living at the close of earth's history, and thus it behooves us not be tainted with smooth words by religious leaders, neither should we be intimidated by anger that is so often manifested against those who dare to stand up for Christ, and the eternal principles of His kingdom. God does not condemn anyone, including gays for the unnatural tendencies they may have been born with, or which they may have cultivated over time. What He does seek to do is to save us from our sins, not in our sins, and therefore any effort to alter the sacred marriage institution to accommodate the lusts of the flesh, will meet with His signal disapproval, regardless of how popular it may be with the majority.
We therefore end with a passage of scripture that contains a caution to all true Christians, not to follow the multitudes to do evil, either by vote or my moral support, for when the judgments of God begin, they will envelope those who are guilty by practice, and by vote, for they all will be concluded as partaking of the very same spirit. Let's read:
Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment: 8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
Mat God add his blessing to the study and practice of His word. "Good night" and God bless!
