Isaiah 8:15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. 16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
This passage of scripture teaches us what the seal of God is, for it is embodied in the fourth commandment of the Decalogue, which carries both the name and the title of The law Giver, thus showing by whose authority the Ten commandments have been instituted. The president of the United States has a presidential seal, which designates His office, his authority, and the area over which he holds jurisdiction. In like manner does the fourth commandment of the law of God carry the Name, Title and the area of which Jehovah wields power, and which must of necessity be where the seal of God is located. Let's read:
Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of The Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days The Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
However, it's important for us to understand that the seal of God is not placed randomly on the head of every professed Christian, for there are millions who now take the name of Christ without adhering to the laws and institutions He has laid down. And even though there are many Christians who are now found to be in violation of the fourth commandment ignorantly, yet the seal of God will not be placed in the foreheads of those who deliberately continue to disregard the sacred day of worship, in favor of Sunday-keeping.
As a matter of fact, wherever, and whenever Sunday is honored as a holy day, in opposition to what the scriptures teach, then the stamp of God's approval cannot be applied, for then He would be sustaining us in a wrong course of action which nullifies His authority in our lives.
Furthermore, the conscientious keeping of the Sabbath is a vital sign that the much-needed work of sanctification is taking place in our hearts, without which, we can never be brought to spiritual maturity in Christ. This point needs to be fully understood by our Sunday-keeping brethren, who genuinely love The Lord, but have been led astray by papal Rome, and the tradition she holds dear, which is a sign of her authority. Thus the seal of God constitutes a maturing in Christ, both intellectually and practically, for it was Jesus Himself who pronounced a blessing on those who do and teach His commandments. Let's read:
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
[Maranatha pp. 200] Just as soon as the people of God are sealed in their foreheads—it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but a settling into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved—just as soon as God’s people are sealed and prepared for the shaking, it will come. Indeed, it has begun already; the judgments of God are now upon the land, to give us warning, that we may know what is coming.
It therefore behooves every sincere and honest-hearted person, to synthesize the teachings and laws of the Bible with our daily experiences, bringing the principles that are written in the word of God to bear directly on every thought, word, and action, for it's not the hearers of the word will be saved, but the doers of the law will be granted entrance through the pearly gates. We therefore end with a passage of scripture which confirms this sacred truth, and it is the will of God that every forehead be resplendent with the glory of the seal of The Living God. Let's read:
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
