Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
This passage of scripture declares that the entire religio-political system referred to as "Babylon" is soon to collapse, and the judgments that are due, on account of the errors she has long disseminated throughout the world, will finally be meted out by God Himself. In ancient Babylon the three Hebrew boys were being coerced into a false system of worship, when God intervened in a marked way, and the same experience will be repeated in our day when religious heads and political figures unite to form a one world government and a one world religion, as can be observed in the historical setting. Let's read:
Daniel 3:4 Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, 5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: 6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
This false system of worship that was forced upon the populace by Nebuchadnezzar was in direct violation of the first and second commandment of the Decalogue, which explicitly states that bowing down to idols or serving them constitutes sin. Let's read:
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them" .....
The same union of church and state will be repeated in the near future, and the same coercion that was implemented in the days of Nebuchadnezzar, will again be brought upon the multitudes. Let's read:
Revelation 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
When this ungodly union has taken place, and a false system of worship is forced upon the multitudes, then God will again intervene for the deliverance of His people, hence the urgent call to all sincere Christians now sitting in Babylon, to leave before the judgments of God are finally poured out.
One of the catalysts that would bring about the final union of church and state is the problem of innumerable geopolitical disturbances, wars, and bloodshed, coupled together with the social unrest and fearful convulsions of nature, to which there is no human solution. As soon as a new problem arises in some part of the world, another one follows closely on its heels, and so we are now jam packed with a plethora of unresolvable conflicts and perplexities which would prepare the way for a new world order to be ushered in. World leaders in both the political and religious realm will be searching for spiritual solutions and answers, having exhausted all known man-made methods and systems, and in their search for resolutions, they will find their answers in the Anti-Christ, who will recommend and establish a system of worship and government that is in direct opposition to what The Lord has ordaineded.
To this time we are now hastening, and thus it behooves every honest hearted person and Christian, to study carefully the warnings given in God's word pertaining to the fall of Babylon, so that all who would might find shelter, whilst probation lingers. We therefore end with a passage of scripture that sounds a warning note, for us to awake out of slumber, for the time spoken of here is at hand. Let's read:
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
May we be found ready at all times, for we are indeed living on the brink of eternity. "Good night" and God bless!
