Isaiah 40:25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
The word of God is clear, in that it teaches us that the worlds and all that are therein came into existence, and are sustained by the mighty power of God. The preponderance of evidence in support of creation, appeals to our intelligence that the God of the universe must have created these things. The intricate systems of suns, stars, and planets, and also the daily sustenance of our world, calls for an acknowledgement that there is a God in the heavens.
However, modern science begs to differ, and we are now saddled with the theory of evolution, which is inadequate to explain the various developments that are taking place in our world. The theory that it took millions of years for us to evolve into who we are today, is without foundation, and many valid holes can be poked into the ideology, for which science can offer no reasonable or logical explanation. For instance, the Eskimos who have been living in the coldest regions of the earth have not "evolved" by growing thick, dense hair on their skin to protect them from the harsh environment in which they live. Certainly by now, according to the theory of evolution, they would have "evolved" with substantial layers of fat under their skin to withstand the bitterly cold blasts of winter, but instead, they continue to be among the leanest of earth's inhabitants.
Again we have the same scenario taking place with the drastic changes in knowledge and the environment, for over the last 400 years of our existence, we have gone from the horse and buggy to rockets and drones, and we have gone from sending messages by mail to sending them by the many electronic gadgets now available. The NSA can now tell us what we had for lunch, and people living in the remotest parts of the globe can now observe what we are doing in our own backyard.
We are no longer confined to libraries and bookshelves for storing information, for we can now store many thousands of books on a small chip, or even in the "clouds". Yet somehow, throughout all of the rapid acceleration of our inventions and knowledge, and the obvious, radical changes to our environment, we are not "evolving" in step with the changes that are taking place. We continue to age, we continue to die and we are not "evolving" to withstand the changes of global warming.
However, the same Bible that tells us of the God of creation, gives us the answers as to why these many changes in our lives have greatly accelerated over the past 300 years. Let's read:
Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
The same Bible also warns of the unprecedented violence we are now witnessing daily, coupled together with the rapid decline in morality. Let's read:
2nd Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
Seeing then, that these things which were predicted many hundreds of years ago are now happening before our very eyes, and cannot be denied, wouldn't it then be logical and reasonable to conclude that the same Bible that gives us the creation record is also correct by stating the fact that God created the heavens and the earth?
In our day, science is so bent on excluding God from His creation, that we are now willing to go to illogical lengths to deny the existence of God, and as a direct result, the prophecies that point us to a coming, cataclysmic conflict in the near future, are being disregarded or given little merit or thought by scientific minds.
However, God is now calling on intelligent men and women everywhere to wake up to the reality of God, for in the not too distant future, all theories and suppositions that are not founded on the scriptures, will be invalidated by the second coming of Christ, an event to which we are now hastening. We therefore end with a passage of scripture reminding us of our roots, and it is our hope and prayer that as we contemplate the current fulfillment of prophecy, that we will turn to God with all of our hearts, for He is merciful and gracious, even to those who deliberately deny His existence. Let's read:
Isaiah 46:8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.
May we live by every word of God, for the inadequacies of evolution ultimately lead to a spiritual and eternal dead end. God bless!
