How To Disarm Prejudice. Part [16] 09/08/2026 (Morning thought)

2nd Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

[The Great Controversy pp 607] Conscientious obedience to the Word of God will be treated as rebellion. Blinded by Satan, the parent will exercise harshness and severity toward the believing child; the master or mistress will oppress the commandment-keeping servant. Affection will be alienated; children will be disinherited, and driven from home. The words of Paul will be literally fulfilled, “All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” [2 Timothy 3:12.]

As the defenders of truth refuse to honor the Sunday-sabbath, some of them will be thrust into prison, some will be exiled, some will be treated as slaves. To human wisdom, all this now seems impossible; but as the restraining Spirit of God shall be withdrawn from men, and they shall be under the control of Satan, who hates the divine precepts, there will be strange developments. The heart can be very cruel when God’s fear and love are removed.

God is more practical and down to earth in all of the instructions He gives us therefore, if there are issues that need to be addressed and resolved, whether in the temporal, spiritual, social or financial realm, the time is now when persons should appropriate those instructions given, lest in the time of testing, we are weighed in the balances, and found wanting. We therefore end with a passage of Scripture which should help us better understand the urgency of the moment, and we hope and pray that God will make the rough places plain as we cooperate with Him, so that He may be glorified in His peculiar people.

Romans 13:14 But put you on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!

How To Disarm Prejudice. Part [15] 09/08/2026 (Evening thought)

Romans 13: 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

[Last Day Events pp 156] We have far more to fear from within than from without. Unbelievers have a right to expect that those who profess to be keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, will do more than any other class to promote and honor, by consistent lives, by their godly example and their active influence, the cause which they represent.

[The Great Controversy pp 608] As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel’s message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position, and join the ranks of the opposition. Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls. They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren.

When Sabbath-keepers are brought before the courts to answer for their faith, these apostates are the most efficient agents of Satan to misrepresent and accuse them, and by false reports and insinuations to stir up the rulers against them. In this time of persecution the faith of the Lord’s servants will be tried. They have faithfully given the warning, looking to God and to his Word alone.

Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
