Heaven, A Place of Surprises. Part [14] 03/19/2026 (Morning thought)

Revelation 10:And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

The disappointment, and the gravitational pull of friends, exerted an adverse influence upon William Miller, and he finally rejected the 7th day Sabbath as being the God-ordained day of worship. He went even further, by raising his voice against it and he went down to his grave, never accepting the Sabbath of the fourth commandment. This is what is written under the inspiration of The Holy Ghost as it pertains to William Miller in the context of who may be a wheat and who may be a tare.

[Early Writings pp 258] My attention was then called to William Miller. I saw leading men watching him, fearing lest he should receive the third angel’s message and the commandments of God. And as he would lean toward the light from heaven, these men would lay some plan to draw his mind away. At length William Miller raised his voice against the light from heaven. Moses erred as he was about to enter the Promised Land.

So also, I saw that William Miller erred as he was soon to enter the heavenly Canaan, in suffering his influence to go against the truth. Others led him to this; others must account for it. But angels watch the precious dust of this servant of God, and he will come forth at the sound of the last trump.

Revelation 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!

Heaven, A Place of Surprises. Part [13] 03/19/2026 (Evening thought)

Matthew 18:14 Even so, it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.…. The tenor of the Bible is redemptive in nature, thus, God instructs churches to thoroughly exhaust all the ways and means written in the Bible, before taking the step of removing any member. Especially is this instruction applicable where one is manifesting the fruits of true repentance.

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established…. Jesus forgave and restored both Peter and Mary and since God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, it would be well if the churches will follow His lead, wherever possible. Heaven will be a place of great surprises, and therefore, because we cannot read hearts and minds, it may be best to give the benefit of the doubt in certain situations, as God leads.

The following account is given so that we might see the reasons why Jesus said in the parable: “Let them grow together until the harvest” because you may never know who is who, until resurrection morning. William Miller, who heralded and championed the message of 1844, was later showed his mistake in the event that he expected. He was also presented with the truth of the Sabbath on several occasions.

Matthew 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglects to hear the church let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
