When God’s Justice Is Questioned. Part [1] 10/12/2025 (Evening thought)

Isaiah 28: 21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

God delights in mercy, and everything He does on our planet is interwoven with grace, forbearance and kindness towards us, erring mortals. Persons have come to question God’s justice, not only in sacred history, but also in some of the things that He allows to take place currently. There are those who may wish that He will stand up against the oppression, cruelty and apparent unbridled lies, day in and day out.

Others have become skeptical in their perspectives of Him as it pertains to the mass shootings and the many thousands who are dying daily in Ukraine, in Haiti, and in so many countries around the world. Our opening passage gives us a glimpse of the reason why some people might question His justice, because Isaiah calls God’s serving of justice, or His permission of certain adverse situations, a strange act.

The Lord delights in mercy, and long after we have thrown in the towel, and given up on persons who seem to poking their fingers in His face God is still working to bring about a change of heart or mind wherever possible. Indeed, were it not for God’s longsuffering, and mercy towards, us, many of us would not be alive today. In fact, everyone of us is directly tethered to God’s mercy, and that’s why we are alive. It is the Cross of Christ that, shields us from what we are really due.

2nd Peter 3: 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!

Where to Return Your Tithes and Offerings. Part [20] 10/11/2025 (Morning thought)

Exodus 25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart you shall take my offering. And this is the offering which you shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass.

[Testimonies Vol. 3 pp 405>406] The angel of God places benevolent acts close beside prayer. He said to Cornelius: “Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” In the teachings of Christ He said: “If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” The spiritual health and prosperity of the church is dependent in a great degree upon her systematic benevolence.

It is like the lifeblood which must flow through the whole being, vitalizing every member of the body. It increases love for the souls of our fellow men; for by self-denial and self-sacrifice we are brought into a closer relation to Christ, who for our sakes became poor. The more we invest in the cause of God to aid in the salvation of souls, the closer to our hearts will they be brought. Were our numbers half as large, and all of these devoted workers, we should have a power that would make the world tremble.

To the active workers Christ has addressed these words: “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” We shall meet opposition arising from selfish motives and from bigotry and prejudice; yet, with undaunted courage and living faith, we should sow beside all waters. The agents of Satan are formidable; we shall meet them and must combat them. Our labors are not to be confined to our own country. The field is the world; the harvest is ripe.

1st Chronicles 29:Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
