The Biblical Way To Deal With Depression. Part [14] 10/08/2024 (Morning thought)

Psalms 107:28 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. 29 He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Therefore, be encouraged, no matter what you may be going through. Do not be afraid to ask God for a helping hand, and do not be hesitant to pray, for He will help all those who seek Him in sincerity. Many of those whom Christ healed in His day were just  ordinary people, many of whom did not have a deep relationship with God.

Psalms 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keeps thee will not slumber. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Therefore, help is readily available, and if you are trying to deal with depression, remember there is a Biblical way. Let God lead, include the God-factor in all that you do, and you will soon discover, like Job, and many others did, that help is often just a prayer away. In harmony with this truth, we will end our study on a high note, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.

Psalms 107:30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. 31 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!

The Biblical Way To Deal With Depression. Part [13] 10/08/2024 (Evening thought)

2nd Samuel 22:The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Savior; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

There are many times when individuals who were in deep depression, or in serious distress, have turned to The God of heaven for help, and He responded in the affirmative, even though they might not have been Christians. God’s grace and His mercy is not for Christians only, it’s ministered to all who ask in faith. So let the word of God speak for itself, because it seems as if many persons may have misunderstood the goodness of God to the human family.

Psalms 107:1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. 10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

Psalms 107:13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder. 23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; 24 These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep. 25 For He commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves thereof.

Psalms 107:26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
