Bible Teaching on Supernatural Phenomena Part [1] 09/12/2024 (Morning thought)

Revelation 13:14 And he deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Modern science, as is taught in our public schools and universities does not make allowance for God, or for the supernatural. The origin of species, as far as secular philosophy teaches, does not include God and is devoid of anything called miraculous. Therefore, everything that pertains to our planet or to the starry heavens is of necessity reasoned from a strictly scientific perspective, being subjected to proof in a laboratory, with theories and speculations and suppositions of men.

For instance, in the Big Bang theory, which, to this day remains a mere theory, and in the current origin of species philosophy, all intelligent purposes, and planning are deliberately left out, to try and squish the God-factor out of the question. Thus, the mind of the student is trained to restrict reasoning and conclusions to strictly, logical lines. In other words, when the Psalmist David says that God spoke, and it was done, without the need for any preexisting matter, secular science dismisses that as folly, and not worth the consideration.

Thus, at the onset, the possibility of a supernatural intervention, by any being on any level, is deemed to be anathema to humanistic modes of thought. In fact, persons in our day who dare to believe, are for all intents and purposes, considered by science as being on the fringe. Whenever, and wherever this is done, as is the case in most public institutions of learning, the minds of the students could become dwarfed, and they could be rendered almost incapable of exercising any faith because faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

John 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. 23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!

Phillip Didn’t Take an Uber. Part [13] 09/12/2024 (Evening thought)

Acts 3: 19 Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you.

[Acts of The Apostles pp 54-55] To the end of time the presence of the Spirit is to abide with the true church. But near the close of earth's harvest, a special bestowal of spiritual grace is promised to prepare the church for the coming of the Son of man. This outpouring of the Spirit is likened to the falling of the latter rain; and it is for this added power that Christians are to send their petitions to the Lord of the harvest “in the time of the latter rain.” In response, “the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain.” “He will cause to come down ... the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain,” Zechariah 10:1; Joel 2:23.

Therefore, be not discouraged, nor intimidated by what man can do. Be not afraid of the tendency to brand truth as hate speech. Be not surprised by the restrictions that will be placed on those who preach present truth, like the restrictions currently placed in Canada. Fear not you remnant people of God, as the world is becoming more averse and hostile to God, the Bible, and righteousness.

It has all been predicted before in the Bible, God has already made ample provisions to meet every impending emergency, for, believe it or not, Phillip Didn’t Take An Uber. In harmony with this solemn truth, we will end our discourse with two passages of Scripture that would be of encouragement to the remnant and to all who will decide, against all odds, to follow the One and only true God in obedience and true worship.

Joel 3: 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. 16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
