Judge Not That You Be Not Judged. Part [13] 03/26/2024 (Evening thought)

Matthew 21:28 But what think you? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. 30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. 31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Heaven will be a place of great surprises, because persons who were not expected to make it will be there and some who were expected to be there will not be present. The books of record, complete with words, actions and motives will explain to the saints why and how God came to His correct conclusions, and after the thorough review, the saints will agree with Him. Therefore, when we are cautioned not to judge, it is a caution against us drawing premature, and faulty conclusions with no evidence of motive and as such, the issues which pertain to judging are best left in God’s hands.

[Youth Instructor Feb 10 1898 Par 6] “Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.” Holiness does not consist in profession, but in doing the will of our Father which is in heaven. The crying of “Lord! Lord!” will not secure for us an entrance into the kingdom of heaven. Let no man cheat his soul with the delusion that he is saved simply because he can talk of faith and repentance. There are those who exclaim, “I am saved! I am saved!” who yet walk contrary to the doctrine of Christ.

The word of God declares, “He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” Obedience must be rendered to all God's commandments in this world before a soul will be chosen as a safe member of the kingdom of heaven, one of the royal children of God.

Matthew 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!

Judge Not That You Be Not Judged. Part [12] 03/25/2024 (Morning thought)

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

[The Great Controversy pp 481] Said the Savior, “By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” The secret purposes and motives appear in the unerring register; for God “will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.” “Behold, it is written before me, ... your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord.”

Every man's work passes in review before God and it is registered for faithfulness, or unfaithfulness. Opposite each name in the books of Heaven is entered, with terrible exactness, every wrong word, every selfish act, every unfulfilled duty, and every secret sin, with every artful dissembling. Heaven-sent warnings or reproofs neglected, wasted moments, unimproved opportunities, the influence exerted for good or for evil, with its far-reaching results, all are chronicled by the recording angel.

The 1000 years of Sabbatical rest, which ensue after Christ’s second coming, will be spent by the saints, mostly looking over and examining all the books of record for those who will be lost, and it is through this process, that God will in large part wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
