Understanding Generational Curses and Blessings Part [1] 12/10/2023 (Evening thought)

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

Generational curses, and blessings pertain to every human being, for all of us are affected, one way or the next by the doings of our progenitors. This fact is inescapable and should thus serve the purpose of causing persons to make wise choices, knowing that not only ourselves will be affected, but also those of our children who may come after us.

Choices and decisions made by parents are like unto throwing a pebble into a river with the ripple effects to be seen and felt far and wide. When parents may choose to do good, by loving and serving God, they set in motion a train of mercies and blessings which extend to thousands of generations, long after those parents are dead and buried.

God does not forget His tender mercy to those who love and obey Him, and even when the up-coming generations may forget, God’s mercies are still to be extended to their offspring for they are beneficiaries of God’s grace, in behalf of the faithful who went on before.

Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

May God add his blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!

How To Stand Your Ground. Part [19] 12/10/2023 Morning thought)

Ephesians 6: 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Prophecy represents Protestantism as having lamb-like horns, but speaking like a dragon. Already we are beginning to hear the voice of the dragon. There is a satanic force propelling the Sunday movement, but it is concealed. Even the men who are engaged in the work, are themselves blinded to the results which will follow their movement. Let not the commandment-keeping people of God be silent at this time, as though we gracefully accepted the situation.

There is the prospect before us, of waging a continuous war, at the risk of imprisonment, of losing property and even life itself, to defend the law of God, which is being made void by the laws of men. When the disciples preached Christ and him crucified, after his resurrection, the authorities commanded them not to speak any more nor to teach in the name of Jesus. “But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge you. For we cannot but speak the things we have seen and heard.” They continued to preach Jesus and him crucified.

If we fail in taking baby steps on the issue of diets and foods, we may be steamrolled when the issue of worship surfaces, which it is scheduled to in the not-too distant future. Therefore, faithfulness in little things would pave the way for us to stand our ground on more consequential issues, for he that is faithful in that which is least, will also be faithful in much. We therefore end with a passage of scripture that will enable us to stand our ground, not with carnal weapons, but with those that are given in the Bible, for without them, failure is not a matter of if, but when.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
