The Unadulterated Word Of God. Part [17] 11/012/2023 Evening thought)

Matthew 2:Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Had they known Christ as He is revealed in the prophecies, they would have been prepared for His advent and would have received Him as the Messiah. But their understanding was darkened by false conceptions, imaginary ideas, fanciful representations. They were looking for the Messiah to come as a king, to take His place on the throne of David to rule over all the nations. He came as a humble, unknown man, and keenly disappointed, they refused to accept Him.

Contemporary Christianity in our day is making a similar mistake, by looking for A Savior, when it is A King that is soon to come. In fact, when we read the unadulterated word of God especially in the book of Revelation, the personage of a King features more prominently than A Savior, and thus, it behooves the inhabitants of earth to prepare to meet The King.

In harmony with this, we will end our discourse with the pure word of God, which points the multitudes of earth to the imminent return of Jesus Christ, and it is our responsibility to not only get ready, but to be ready.

Revelation 19: 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a  name written, King of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!

The Unadulterated Word Of God. Part [16] 11/011/2023 (Morning thought)

Isaiah 1:19 If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

It is worthy of note, that king Josiah, after hearing of the grim interpretations of the “Law”, as given by Huldah the prophet, embarked upon much needed reforms in earnest, for as far as he was concerned, he would leave no stone unturned, nor would he spare any effort, in trying to avert, that which was predicted. Just so, persons in our day are not to view current events from the perspective of mere scare tactics.

Instead, we should view eschatological occurrences as harbingers of the coming of The Son of Man, and as such we too should be embarking upon the most vigorous reforms and soul searching where needed, so that we may live in readiness each day. The unadulterated word of God speaks directly, and clearly to each intelligent mind.

The things that have been predicted in the Bible are taking place, even as we speak, and thus, persons should no longer put off for another day, that which we know is right. There is still a window of opportunity for all earth’s teeming multitudes to find refuge in Jesus Christ, by not only receiving His as Savior, but more so as Lord. The Jews in Christ’s day had made the fatal mistake of looking for a King, when it was A Savior that was predicted in the law.

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
